NOTE: As requested, I have reactivated this file to Public Availability, so it can be used for eSTOL competition. As there have been some changes to the Developrers Package, I have not fully tested it throughout all aspects, so please use at your own risk!!! I did however take all three models up an test them, so it seems to still function correctly. If you find any undesirable issues, please drop me a message, and I will try to fix them as time allows. Once again, it will affect all of the aircraft models in this Rans Package. If you don't like it, simply uninstall it and move on to something else. Thank You!
This is an "EXPERIMENTAL" enhancement to Flyboysims RANS-S6S and does not contain the aircraft which must be perchased separatly.
WARNING: If you are a purist, and do not care for EXPERIMENTAL aircraft mods, and all that intails, then please save yourself some grief and do not download this MOD! With the latest update, the Developer has increased Power and Prop Performance, so you may prefer to stick with the default set-up anyway. I have made other changes as well so give it a try, if you don't like it, just remove it...
This is a total EXPERIMENT!!!
If you want purity, then I wouldn't read any further, and just save yourself the grief and simply don't install it!
I have installed Got Gravel's Rotax 915 iS, from the VL3 Project, with a few minor adjustments (Lowered the Idle speed a bit). I have also modified the Airspeed Indicater and RPM gauge, to account for the increased power. There is a pretty good jump in performance, and I would suggest backing off the throttle about half way once you level off as it will pick up speed rappidly, but it has the power when you need or want it. I have attempted to adjust instumentation both in the "steam" gauges and in the appropriate CRT section.
Again, this is way more power than this aircraft was originaly designed for, so develope your own techniques for controlling it!
With the Added Power and Prop Changes, there is a Good Bit of Torque Effect, and it will pull to the Left on take-off, so be ready on the Rudder to compensate, especially on Take-off Role!!!
Have Fun! AIRPAC1
A HUGE THANK YOU to Got Gravel for allowing me to use and upload his file! If you are not familiar with the VL3 Project, check it out here on Flightsim.to

Excellent mod, thank you for taking the time to create it. I love the Rans and found it difficult to keep up with everyone during bush flights...that's no longer the case! 😊

Thanks! Would you be the same Robi that has the 7 Livery Pack on SimMarket?

I am going to be the first to comment. I totally appreciate this mod. I love this plane, and having a little fun with it, is totally ok with me. It's nice not to blow up which i do frequently with the base. Not that I have a problem with the purist form. I love it. It is so much fun to get to know the subtleties of the plane, but if I want to just have some experimental fun, I fully appreciate this endeavor. If I could make a recommendation. Make it so it has a little more room on the top speed and has a little more knots before breakup. If we are going for broke with this mod, let's give it a little more room !!!! LOL 😊 Why not right??? Also, if somehow the mod could be a separate plane to choose from then the original, then that would be even more amazing. You wouldn't have to remove the mod when you want to fly the purist form (which is preferred for me since I want to fly the actual plane on most occasions). I do really like the mod. Thanks so much for making it. It's definitely fun!

Thank you for your kind words! I do wish I could do more with it but unfortunately, as a commercial product, I can not include the Flightmodel and system files, which would be needed to change some of the parameters that you have suggested. As for the engine, I don’t think anyone currently does a better job at engine performance spec’s than Got Gravel, and this engine is pretty much dead on. For me, its just a matter of pulling the throttle back and managing it as needed. There is not too many places I can’t get into, or out of, in STOL fashion, with it. The Developer is quite passionate about the aircraft, and is working with a real life owner of a stock S6S. Keep watching as he is currently working on improvement, and I believe he has a set of Tundra tires tucked away for it in the future. Again, thank you for your comments, it is appreciated! AIRPAC1
