Dave's 3D animals Library

The third library in Dave’s Crooked Libraries series is one on request from several members.

3D animals are a great way to bring life into those small bush strips and I got my hands on some great free-to-use models. 

As a separate download, an HTML file with thumbnails is provided to give an overview of all the models included.

Disclaimer : there are a one or two models with scaling issues, i will add a corrected version to a future update. For now, use scaling as you see fit to make the models a little more life-like.

Especially for cows, sheep and horses this is brilliant even if they're not animated at them moment. Grazing farm animals don't move that much anyway.
I really hope the fields and meadows around the small airfields will see an influx of animals shortly. Been missing the cows in Austria, Northern Italy and Bavaria and the sheep in the UK and Ireland.

If somebody used them in their scenery, you need to have the library installed to be able to see them.

These are static models. The library was created when the SDK was still in its infancy.

Is this library the same as X-Plane in that I need to have it installed to see any critters placed around the world in other people's scenery mods, or do I not need to do that as someone who doesn't build sceneries myself?

It's the same principle as x-plane. If a scenery creator placed animals from this library in his work, you need to have the library installed to see them.
