Anaa, the atoll with greenish clouds
Anaa (NTGA) Atoll is located in the central Tuamotu archipelago, French Polynesia. Its airport is 235 nM away from Tahiti and Air Tahiti's ATR offers two weekly flights. The runway measures 1502 x 30m and does not have any lighting markings. It also has no PAPI, so no visual aid for landing.
The addition of the watermask now allows you to see the entire lagoon and outer slopes of the reef rim. The airport was designed by Givenchy987 and is identical to that of Kaukura (many Tuamotu airports share the same architecture). You must therefore also download the Kaukura (NTGK) available here:
https://fr.flightsim.to/file/56056/ntgk-kaukura
Anaa is known for its lagoon so intensely turquoise that its reflections color into a blue-greenish hue the base of the clouds (or the underside of your airplane's wings). I added at the end of the album a real photo of these famous clouds that I took in Anaa during stormy weather. Shallow areas (less than 10 m) occupy most of the lagoon and explain this predominance of turquoise.
You can also fly over the "pito", a hole naturally dug in the reef floor and marking the opening of an underwater tunnel leading into the ocean. To find this hole, maintain the axis when taking off from runway 14, count 4 hoa (channels). The hole is near the left shore of this 4th hoa.
Another curiosity of the atoll is that it is one of the rare places in French Polynesia where you can fly fishing, targeting "kiokio" or bonefish in English (Albula vulpes), a very lively silver fish.
